Father's Day

Celebrated Dave & my step dad on Sunday.  Zane was with his dad for the weekend, but when he came home Sunday the first thing he did was look for his card & gift for Dave.  We got him a funny card about lighting camp fires and bought him a new money clip.  I had bought him a zero gravity patio chair a few weeks ago and had no way to hide it so he got it then.  He loves it because it takes all the pressure off his back.

I took my step dad and Dave to lunch at the buffet at Hy-Vee Market Grille Sunday.  The buffet was kind of disappointing from years past in that they didn't have near the spread they have had before.  However, all the food they did have was good and Dave & Rick seemed perfectly happy so that's all that counts.  I forgot to get a picture of the two of them.

Dave called his dad to wish him a happy father's day and my dad was also on my mind too.  My brother took flowers to his grave and shared a picture with me this morning.  I instantly felt guilty because I had intended to do the same, but completely forgot.  I will have to get out there for his birthday.

I also made Dave one of his favorite meals for dinner, pork chops & potatoes with cream of mushroom sauce.  He loves corn & cooked carrots too.  His belly was full.
