Workshop

After a bunch of running around Friday night, we enjoyed a fire pit in the backyard.

I found a class I thought Dave and Zane might like at Home Depot.  It was building a toy truck together.  I asked Dave if he'd be interested in doing that and he was all for it.  Then when he told Zane about it, Zane actually got excited.  Zane absolutely loved it.  They built the truck and then came home to paint it.  When they got home, Zane said, "let's get to work".  While they were there Zane asked if they could do it again so I will have to look around and see what other workshops are available.  Dave sent me pictures while they were there.

I took these when he got home because he looked so cute.  Oh and I've been instructed not to call him cute anymore as it's embarrassing.

Let the painting begin...

We also tackled installing a new ceiling fan in Zane's room.  Man was that a chore.  Zane had a ceiling fan but the previous owner's removed all of the blades so it just looked like a light.  We are guessing the fan quit working.  Zane had been asking for a ceiling fan as his room tends to get hot even with the floor fan we had in there.  This ought to keep him cool and it looks so much better than the white globe sticking out of the ceiling with no fan blades.

My little artist has been making all of these BFDI characters.  He really gets into it.

Here is a book he made, complete with pages inside the book.  He's so creative.
