Middle School

Middle school here we come.  Zane starts 6th grade next week and I cannot believe it.  Where has the time gone?  Yesterday, I took the day off and we went to school to pick up his schedule, located all his classrooms, found his locker and got the locker combination figured out and took school pictures.

Honestly, I didn't like doing the school pictures during this orientation.  There was already too much going on and it was just chaos yesterday.  Zane will have 900 kids in his school.  This is just 6th & 7th grade and this is only one Ankeny middle school.  That is just crazy to me coming from a small town school district.

We seemed to run around all day yesterday and I am exhausted.  Also on the list of things to do yesterday was private swimming lessons.  Zane loves the pool he is taking lessons at, it is very nice and it is also heated.  He just wanted to stay there and swim after lessons.

Speaking of school, I met up last week for dinner with some of my high school classmates.  Mindy, Ruth & Kara all still live in the area and Carrie came back from Massachusetts's to visit family. I had so much fun getting together with them, some of which I hadn't seen in probably 4 years.
