Garage Haircuts by Kelly...and Night Stand Rejuvenation

Both Dave & Zane have been complaining about their overgrown hair and it has been driving them nuts.  I ordered some nice hair clippers online and they both got cuts.

Zane got a buzz cut as it was just easier.  I tried to give Dave a normal haircut and it was a bit of a challenge.  I still need to trim up the sides a bit shorter, which you can't see in this picture.  My perfectionist ways are telling me to fix it so it looks better.

Awhile back I bought a nightstand on Craigslist for $25 for Zane's room.  I've been taking my sweet time refinishing it.  It is good quality, but it was in rough looking shape when I got it.  It looked like someone tried to partially refinish it as it had different stain colors in places.  It also had some pretty ugly, beat up handles on it.  I forgot to take a picture until after I sanded it down and filled the nail holes so it doesn't look too bad in the before picture.

I sanded it, stained it, put some polyurethane on it and added new hardware.  I scored on the hardware, they were on clearance at Menards.  This never happens to me so it was a pleasant surprise.  The handles were regularly almost $5 each, but I got them for $2 each.

Zane's bedroom is a work in progress, but it is slowly coming along.  I ordered a bookcase right when this whole coronavirus started and we need it delivered as I will not let Dave try to carry it upstairs with all his back, neck, shoulder issues.  So we have to wait until things reopen before they can deliver.
