Missing...

For anyone who still follows, I've been neglecting my blog lately.  I've just been so busy with work and don't have the energy to be on the computer when I get home from being on the computer all day.  Here's a quick update on the past several weeks:

There's been some health issues in the family and I don't think I'm supposed to share any more than that.  It really has us thinking about life and what's important and what's not.

A few weeks ago Zane broke a bracket on his braces.  He is super paranoid about it for fear he's going to be in big trouble with his mama due to the expense of fixing them.  We got it fixed and there was no cost, I'm sure that's included in the cost I'm paying monthly for them.

A few weeks ago we went out for some Mexican food and I got a cute pic of my boys.  They're buddies.  Dave said, "are my hands that big or is Zane that small?".  I said, "both".

Zane has a girl named Sophia that is in love with him.  He's super annoyed by her.  She calls him "boyfriend".  He said his friends even thought they were dating.  Anyhow he's been telling me about it.  He said he doesn't like her that way, only as a friend.  He said he didn't think she was cute.  Dave & I told him that she might not be pretty now, but by high school she might be very pretty. 

So I had this image in my head of this homely looking girl.  Then the other day he got his yearbook from last year out and I asked if she was in it, so he showed me her picture.  She was so cute and I told him that.  He told me I wasn't helping his situation.

Zane is in a class, I think it is called technology modeling or something rather.  He made this tool box.  It is so funny because I made one in high school, but mine was out of sheet metal.  I think he did an awesome job at it.  I was really impressed.

 

 

He also made a 3D lego.  It is really small so I don't have a very good picture of it, but it is neat too and it has his name carved in it.  He has it sitting on his shelves in his bedroom.

 

Dave wanted ice cream the other night.  So we decided to try Sweet Swirls.  I had been wanting to try it because I follow them on Instagram.  It was so cool.  They pour liquid cream on these cold pans and mix in whatever mix ins you choose.  It hardens and then they roll it up. It was so good.  Typically ice cream fills you up but this was really light on the tummy.  We will definitely be back for more.
