Cubbies

Went to see the I-Cubs last Friday night and had a fun time.  We had great seats and it was right where the players sign autographs.  Ben Zobrist, Albert Almora and David Bote were all there from the Chicago Cubs.  Dave got Zobrist's autograph and a great picture of him too.

While at the game Zane and I played phone tag.  Finally got to talk to him and he told me what a great first day of school he had.  He was able to get into his locker every time with no problems and his friends loved his new shoes.  He said grandma then took him to Orange Leaf for froyo and he ran into his 4th grade teacher Mrs. Royster (who was pregnant when he had her for a teacher) and her twins are now 4 years old

There was an airshow in Ankeny and they decorated the sky over the stadium while we waited for the game to start.

We got in touch with Jessica and met up with her downtown.  She got off work early since it was slow.  We had a great time with her, met lots of her friends and had some great conversations with her.  Her friends told her that she has the coolest dad ever.  I couldn't agree more.  They are like two peas in a pod.
