Teenager

Zane turned 13 last week.  Where has the time gone?  It makes me a little sad that he isn't so little anymore.  On his birthday we took him to his favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and presents.  Dave asked the waitress if they would come sing to Zane.  They came out with this sombrero and a desert tray and serenaded him.  Then they dabbed some whipped cream on his nose.  He was totally embarrassed.  It was fun!

Birthday morning...the key to his heart is flavored oreos…
limited edition s'mores

Zane was in a wedding on his dad's side of the family...he looks so handsome.

We went to Prairie Meadows Saturday for the Kentucky Derby.  The place was packed.  The parking lot was full, people were parked in no parking areas and even on the street.  It was crazy.  Lots of crazy outfits and lots of hats.  We got a kick out of it as some people looked tasteful and some just looked stupid.  One woman was dressed in a Pretty Woman dress.  Another woman looked like she had a plant on her head.  Some guy had a crazy looking suit on, I secretly snagged a picture of him.  To each their own.

Zane got Mario Kart Monopoly for his birthday and was dying to play it.  So we played a game Sunday when he came home.  Before the game Dave was bragging he was going to win.  During the game both Dave and Zane were after me every chance they could get.  When the card said take 3 coins from any player, they both went after me each time.  Guess who the winner was?????  ME!!!!!!!!!  I kicked their butts.  I had the most expensive properties and cleaned them out.  They had to sell properties just to pay me.  Woohoo!!!
