Zane turns 11

We celebrated Zane's 11th birthday over the weekend and also on Monday, which was his official birthday.  I had asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said go shopping.  He takes after his grandma and his mom.  Last Saturday Dave and I took him shopping to his all time favorite store...Toys R Us.  He had a blast.

We also took him to Barnes & Noble as he's really enjoying reading this year.  This is thanks to his wonderful teacher Mrs. DeJong who has been encouraging her students to be book nerds all year.


After some fun shopping we had lunch at Wobbly Boots and Zane loved it.  He loves the smoked meat and he said his chicken strips tasted like rotisserie chicken, which is one of his favorite meats.




Monday night we had a celebration at his favorite restaurant Los Charros.  He got lots of great gifts from all the grandparents.
