Thanksgiving in Arkansas

Last week we went down to Roger & Nancy's (my in-laws) in Arkansas.  We spent Thanksgiving with them and Zane got to take his first real vacation.  It was a long drive for Zane but he did amazingly well.  We kept him entertained with his iPad, DS and lots of snacks.  We drove about half way the first day and stayed at a hotel with a water park.  That was the highlight of the trip according to Zane.

You can see a hint of him coming out at the bottom of the slide.

That is not a cigar (it's a beef stick). although he's holding it in his mouth like it is.

He was worn out after all that fun in the water and tucked in his Koopa mario pet.

Dave took him on a little ride.

The water slide went outside the hotel.  It was pretty cool.

We went into Branson, MO for the day and Dave, Roger & Zane played miniature golf.

On the way home from Branson

Dave's dad had this picture of his fridge of Dave & his two daughter's.  It's a great picture.

We went into Eureka Springs, AR which had really neat shops.  Dave's dad makes all kinds of things out of wood and has several things on display at this store.  These 3 candle sticks are his.  They are really neat.

On our way home from our trip we stopped at Betty's for a Thanksgiving meal.  Zane was trying to give Nora a hug, she was motoring around and wasn't interested in stopping.  She went around and gave all of us kisses about 5 times.  It was the cutest thing ever.

Zane was asking the same day we left the hotel if we could go back.  Dave had a great idea to take our all our kids and grand kids to World's of Fun/Ocean's of Fun this summer and this hotel is really close so we could stay there again.  I think it would be so much fun.
